The Prize

The Pnyx Aletheia Prize for Truth

An annual prize for humankind — conferred on those whose verified disclosures served the public at grave personal cost, and decreed, at last, to history's truth-tellers who were honoured too late.

What the Prize honours

One act, above every field: telling the truth at personal cost.

The Prize is not given for a discipline or a nation. It is given for an act that every discipline and every nation depends upon. A disclosure must pass three tests, all three:

I

Verifiable

Provable through documents, data, or testimony.

II

Public interest

It affects health, safety, rights, or honest institutions.

III

Grave risk

Revealing it cost the teller.

Who We Are — The Pnyx Aletheia Prize for Truth

Presenter film. The presenter's voice and likeness may be generated; this is always disclosed. Every statement is drawn from the Foundation's Charter and the documentary record.

A word from the Foundation

Who we are. What we stand for.

In two minutes, the Foundation's presenter explains why the Pnyx Aletheia Prize for Truth exists, whom it honours, and the promise it makes: that the price of truth will no longer be a life.

The Prize is independent of every government, judged against published criteria, and conferred each year on a different continent.

What a Laureate receives

Honour, protection, and permanence.

Honour

The Decree

Read aloud at the annual Convocation and issued from the Foundation's seat in Geneva — an honour spoken while the Laureate can still hear it.

Protection

The Sovereign Grant

A single, substantial disbursement guaranteeing lifelong economic independence, with security, relocation, standing legal defence and provisions for the family.

Permanence

Inscription

The verified Truth Dossier is sealed into the Unkillable Archive, replicated across six continents — beyond the reach of any single power.

Recognition

The Seal of the Pnyx

The Laureate joins the roll that begins with Socrates: a standing assembly of those who paid truth's full price.

The year of the Prize

Four moments, every year.

1 December

Nominations open

Names may be put forward to the Foundation. Sensitive material travels only through the secure Portal, when it opens.

Winter to spring

The Euthyna

Reception, independent corroboration, adversarial review, inscription — blind to politics.

3 May

The Laureate is named

Announced on World Press Freedom Day.

2 November

The Prize is conferred

At the annual Convocation, held each year on a different continent — or before an empty chair.

The prize humanity never had

The great prizes honour what truth makes possible. None honoured the truth itself.

The world's great international prizes celebrate discovery, literature, peace and enterprise — achievements that all rest on someone, somewhere, having told the truth. Among them, none has been decreed to that act itself. The Pnyx Aletheia Prize for Truth fills that void, for humankind.

Nominations

Anyone may put a name forward. The Euthyna judges the disclosure, never the nominator.

The Prize is open to truth-tellers of every nation, faith, and political affiliation, and of none. No cycle honours disclosures against only one government, industry, or ideology.
